Political silence 2016
Any of you that may have followed my political rants about Obama may find themselves surprised that I have no real opinion on the 2016 race. Maybe I’m just waiting for a third party candidate, but it seems more likely that I simply have no faith in the political system. What I learned from the Obama administration is that the bad guys can win.
In 2008 or even 2012, Trump as president had significant value since the economy needed saving but today I just don’t see it. Trump is a smart guy, maybe too smart to be given such a powerful position. I could have easily supported Hillary, but she has made so many compromises I simply don’t believe she has the integrity required to be taken seriously.
In technical terms I think the U.S. federal government is at worse Beyond Economical Repair or at least it needs a reboot. In 2008 the world was looking to the U.S. for leadership, but heading into 2016 I suspect the world is trying to insulate itself from the political system. The way I see it, I don’t think it matters who sits in the president’s chair, the decisions we make every day to make the world a better place will have a bigger impact than anything the U.S. political system can produce. I’m not saying we should turn the other cheek, but instead that we should fight for what is right. Christians are again being persecuted because the masses have refused to fight for what they believe in. Kim Davis has picked up the cross and demonstrated the truth that the bad guys have won. While I don’t believe in her politics, I do agree with her method. We’re dead either way so we may as well go down fighting, justice may carry a scale in one hand, but there is a reason she carries a sword in the other!!
